A check-in is the official handover at the start of a tenancy. It ensures the tenant agrees with the inventory, understands how the property works and receives the keys with everything recorded.
We confirm meter readings, test smoke and CO alarms and document the condition of the property at move-in. It’s not just paperwork - it’s your peace of mind.

Why It Matters

When to Book
Check-ins should align with the tenancy start date. We recommend booking 3-5 days in advance to secure your preferred time, especially during busy periods.
Appointments are available Monday to Saturday, with flexible slots to fit around tenant schedules.
FAQs
Yes. Where possible, we'll arrange to meet the tenant at the property to walk them through the inventory, hand over keys and answer any questions they may have.
If the tenant isn't available, we'll complete the check-in independently and send the full report electronically for them to review and sign.
We inspect the property against the original inventory, confirm the condition and cleanliness, test safety alarms and record meter readings. We also ensure the tenant is provided with keys and a copy of the report.
Yes - ideally on the day. If not possible in person, we use secure online signing via Inventory Base so everything is documented and time-stamped.
It depends on the size and condition of the property, but typically around 45-60 minutes.
Yes - key collection and return is included as standard. Just let us know your preferred arrangements.
